11.30 am Ancient Truths – Modern Secrets

There are many myths about the ancient mysteries and secret societies. In exploring some
of these ‘myths’ and ‘secrets’ we learn how the Esoteric Teachings can help us to unlock the meaning of life and enrich our own spiritual journey. We can turn the key to the thread of truth concealed in scriptures, symbols, myths and rituals.

1.45 pm – 4.30 pm Spiritual Sound, Transformation and Empowerment
Every piece of music has different qualities of sound and vibration which we can harness to awaken a further dimension to our practice of meditation and spiritual awareness. This experiential workshop will explore mantra and cosmic vibration, and the use of music in meditation, relaxation, transformation and empowerment.

Practical Ideas for Service

During the Spring conference, these were suggested as practical ideas for service.

“Interior” Service:

The Search for Spiritual Enlightenment, to exalt oneself, and thereby exalt all.

World-Healing meditations: eg the ITC world healing process; The Lucis Trust Triangles.

Self Healing “clearing the beams from our own eyes”

Acting “as if” and setting a good example.

“Exterior” Service – things to do.

The Theosophical Order of Service  run by theosophists with very low overhead costs. Continue reading “Practical Ideas for Service”

“THE PAIN AND THE PATH” DONALD ATKINSON Friday 8.15pm
When the aspirant begins to seriously tread the ‘Spiritual Path’, the effect is evoke the higher self into trying to clear as much of the ‘Disciples’ past karma as possible. This usually takes place during the next incarnation when the individual is brought into contact with as many of our past Karmic links as possible.

Some ways of developing Altruism by looking briefly into the “Voice of the Silence” and “Light on the Path” and the words of Jesus and St. Paul. Then we explore H.P.B’s statement “There is no dead matter” and what this means to us at a personal and spiritual level.

“PRACTICAL IDEAS FOR SERVICE” DAVID SOLOMAN – Saturday 10 amRecycle-bin-man-col-copy

After a short summary of the purpose of service, and the principles on which service might be chosen, I will be interested in hearing the ideas of the group, and compiling a list of simple projects that we might engage with singly, privately or perhaps by networking together.

“INACTION TO INNER ACTION” Part 1 ROBERT WOOLLEY – Saturday 11.15amrobertwooley

If Theosophy were a stool it would have three legs. This is very stable and effective – provided all three legs are present and roughly the same length. In these two talks we will explore the purpose of theosophy and why it needs all three legs; Study, Meditation and Service.
KARMA YOGA” JENNY BAKER – Saturday 4.15pm

To exist is to act. The word ‘Karma’ has many meanings including work and action. When the word ‘Yoga’ is added it means responsible action without attachment and with meditative awareness. This talk explores the similarities between karma yoga as set out in ‘Bhagavad Gita’ and the Theosophical ideal of service to others.

“THEOSOPHY THROUGH SERVICE” CYNTHIA & ATMA TRASI – 5pm atrasi ctrasi

An illustrated Power Point Presentation to describe the work of the Theosophical Order of Service with examples taken from TOS Sections from various parts of the world.

“THE ESSENCE OF SPIRITUAL MEDITATION” WAYNE GATFIELD – Sunday 9.15amwayneg

Theosophy teaches that meditation is the ‘inexpressible yearning of the inner man to go out towards the infinite’. There are countless methods of meditation with varying motives and aspirations. In this talk we will look into the highest essence of meditation as expressed in writings such as the “Bhagavad Gita” and the “Tao Te Ching”.

“INNERACTION TO INTERACTION PART 2. ROBERT WOOLLEY Sunday 11am

“NO BEING CAN CEASE TO BE, THE ETERNAL LIVES IN ALL” HUGH AGNEW Sunday 1.45pm

Above all else Truth stands Supreme, everything is subservient to Truth. Believe it or not, you are the embodiment of that Truth. We need to realize we are Supreme, Infinite, Immortal and then Divine. But we need to find out this for ourselves
