Channeling and Early Theosophical Teachings by Kath Mugan June 11

This weeks talk is by Kath Mugan from Oldham – Channeling and Early Theosophical Literature.

Kath is a long standing member of the Theosophical Society and has given us numerous talks in the past.

This time she focuses on Channeling, what it is and how early Theosophical Literature came into existence this way from the Tibetan Masters to Chelas such as Madame Blavatsky and Alice Bailey.

White Lotus Day May 29th

Traditionally, once a year, as near as possible to May 8th ( her death), Theosophists gather to honour the founder of the Theosophical Society, H.P.Blavatsky, who brought the Ancient Wisdom Teachings to the West.

We call this meeting “WHITE LOTUS DAY” and celebrate with snippets of music, spiritual readings and Meditations.

Please bring along any inspirational reading if you would like to contribute – about 3-5 minutes in length.

The talk this week at 2.30pm is by popular speaker Tony McNeile, a former minister of Bank Street Chapel.

This time he is speaking about “The Rosicrucian Mystery”

The mysterious doctrine of the Rosicrucians is “built on esoteric truths of the ancient past”, which “concealed from the average man, provide insight into nature, the physical universe and the spiritual realm”

“The Royal Road” by Steve Nuttall April 9th 2017

This weeks speaker will be Steve Nuttall and his talk begins at 2.30 pm and is entitled “The Royal Road”.

Steve explains:…..”This is about the road I have walked due to my mystical experiences.
The talk will be in two parts.
Firstly, it will be about my Mystical experiences and the resulting implications for my soul.
Secondly, I will open it up for questions about the significance of these revelations and what impact they may have on a wider audience”

An Overview of Gnosticism. Julian Websdale

We welcome back Julian Websdale as our speaker on Sunday March 12 at 2.30pm.

Julian Websdale is a metaphysical researcher, Fellow of the Theosophical
Society, and initiate of the Western Esoteric Tradition. Julian was born
in West Yorkshire, England, studied electronic and computer engineering
at the University of Bolton, and has since worked as an electrical
engineer. During 2010 Julian served in a Vaishnava monastery in
Lanarkshire, Scotland.

His Talk is entitled “An overview of Gnosticism”

“An analysis of the thought and practices of various cults of late
pre-Christian and early Christian centuries distinguished by the
conviction that matter is evil and that emancipation comes through
gnosis: Esoteric knowledge of spiritual truth held by the ancient
Gnostics to be essential to salvation.”
